Mackenzie & Vardanega commenced their legal practice in 1977. 

Our Founding Partners are Roger Allen Vardanega and Adrian Simon Mackenzie.

Mr Vardanega graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Laws in 1968, returning to his hometown of Griffith, he commenced his legal career with O’lliffe and McRae Solicitors at their practice located in the top block of Banna Avenue. 

Mr Mackenzie commenced his Articles while in West Wylong through the Solicitor’s Administration Board and University of Sydney.  He commenced work with Cater & Blumer in 1958 as a 3rd year law student,  transferring his articles to Garry Blumer.  Mr Mackenzie was admitted as a Solicitor in 1961 and made Partner at Cater & Blumer in 1965 and aside from a 12 month stint with Court work out on his own in Sydney, he spent 15 years with the Firm. 

Mr Saverio (Sammy) Zirilli graduated from Victoria University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Laws in 2021, joining the ranks of Mackenzie & Vardanega as a Solicitor in 2022 following his admission into the Supreme Court of NSW. Working closely with Mr Vardanega, Sammy was made a Partner in December 2024.
